SatCon manufactures a comprehensive line of utility grade inverters for commercial scale solar power applications. The units are grid-tied and line interactive, enabling them to convert direct current power from solar arrays to alternating current power that is compatible with the utility voltage for export to the grid. UL-1741 and applicable ANSI and IEEE standards insures compatibility with the local utility as well as providing qualification for approval by the California Energy Commission.

SatCon manufactures commercial solar inverters ranging from 30 to 500kW. PowerGate™ inverters offer market-leading reliability, efficiency and ease-of-use for large-scale grid-connected photovoltaic systems. A single-enclosure solution, the utility-grade PowerGate™ incorporates a high-efficiency transformer and both AC and DC switchgear that disconnect the inverter at night, minimizing tare losses. A highly efficient MPPT tracking algorithm
and intelligent wake-up routine further maximize net energy harvest. The PowerGate™ is certified to UL-1741 and is
available with a variety of local and remote data monitoring options.
